Prior to forming PPM, principals jointly controlled Hurlen Construction Company. Hurlen Construction Company was originally founded in 1969 as a family-owned business focusing on small marine and foundation projects until 1995. From 1995 to 2002, Hurlen expanding into geographically diverse markets including British Columbia and Alaska. In 2002, the company was acquired by a Colorado-based construction firm. In 2006, the principals sold their majority shares and left the organization. In 2007, after observing a year-long non-compete clause, the original partners and a select group of key employees registered the name and soon after re-established a presence as a premier marine contractor. PPM was established with the goal to provide unparalleled construction solutions to complex projects with safety as our top priority. Our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation are the engines that drive our firm forward. Our commitment goes well-beyond delivering projects on-time and within budget; we consistently add value to the process by focusing on pre-planning and project constructability to find ways to lower cost and increase efficiency. We empower our crews to think creatively. A common phrase around our office is the impossible just takes a little longer. From preconstruction to final development, our team works in a collaborative manner to understand the unique needs for every project we perform. Our partnering process ensures a clear vision from the earliest stages of the project. Having this understanding allows us to ask the right questions to make the right decisions on every project.
